It is so exciting to get engaged! Congratulations. You are now about to enter into the most exciting part of your life. No, not marriage, buying your wedding dress! So you think this is going to be as easy as buying a shirt? No it isn’t. It is so difficult that you have to consider the different styles to choose from, the variations of dress fittings and the time to try them all! Read this article on how to plan a wedding if you want to get help on choosing the best dress for your wedding.
When you are deciding on your wedding dress the first and most important thing to decide on is the color. You might think it’s weird but there are lots of beautiful colored wedding dresses to choose from. Most colored wedding dress that are in shades of white (ivory, off white, antique linen etc.) are commonly mistaken as white. Some of you may be looking for a unique color of wedding dress such as pink or black to match your color theme. Your personal preference and your color scheme really matters most. Therefore, choose wisely!
After deciding your color scheme, the next step is to look at dresses. The best place to get ideas at this stage are wedding magazines. You can buy them from stores, pick them up for free at the library or even try to grab a sneaky look at the hairdressers and beauty salons. It is best to take note of the models’ body shape and what dresses suits them when scanning each page. These beautiful dress will be presented by different types of models ranging from petite models to plus size models. Thus it will help you on choosing the perfect style that will suit your body. You can start to shop once you have the a pattern of dress like empire line, fishtail, column, or full skirt!
Now when you do go out shopping for your wedding dress, make sure that you clear your diary for the whole day. Make sure to have lots of time so you can try all the beautiful dresses you will encounter. The shop assistant can be a big help by telling him or her what you’re looking for. Also, photos cut out from magazines will make it easier for the shop assistant to know. This saves both your time and effort and helps your wedding planner by simply narrowing down the selection. Make sure to get alteration appointments right away once you have selected the perfect dress since they can easily be booked. You will need at least two before the wedding with the final one being a week or so before the big day. You have absolutely all the right to look beautiful on your big day so stay calm and perfect.
